Currently Employed Job Seekers

When seeking new roles, most job seekers will look for employment opportunties either directly advertised by employers on websites, or through a recruitment agency. The expertise of the mainstream agencies is usually focused on specific industries or professions. Supporting candidates with disabilities is a requirement under applicable legislation, but many consultants are inexperienced in applying the requirements of the legislation to provide the level of supports and adjustments/accommodations required by the candidate.

My role, of disability employment advisor, is to work with the candidate and prospective employer to structure the transfer to the new position. Where a recruitment agency is involved, I will work with all parties at no cost to the candidate to ensure that:

  • Necessary adjustments/accommodations are provided during the application and recruitment process,
  • Where applicable, current adjustments/accommodations are in place, ownership is determined and they are evaluated and either transferred to the new employer or new ones are to be provided,
  • A Workplace Adjustment/Accommodation Agreement is in place as part of the new employment contract and that they are delivered on day one of employment.

My service is not limited to job seekers working in professions. Anyone is eligible, with services ranging from school leavers to experienced professionals.
